Urinalysis is a fundamental diagnostic tool that provides a window into the bodys metabolic and physiological state. Our reagent strips are engineered to detect 14 key biomarkers in urine, offering a broad screening for conditions such as urinary tract infections (UTIs), diabetes, kidney disease, liver dysfunction, and hydration status. This multi-parameter approach allows for a holistic initial assessment from a single, simple sample.
These strips are vital for monitoring and screening: UTI Detection: Leukocyte and nitrite positivity are key indicators of infection. Diabetes Management: Glucose and ketone levels help monitor glycemic control and detect ketoacidosis. Renal Health: Protein, microalbumin, and creatinine are critical markers for assessing kidney function. Liver Function: Bilirubin and urobilinogen levels can signal hepatic or biliary tract issues. Metabolic & Dietary Monitoring: pH and specific gravity provide information on diet, hydration, and metabolic balance.
Each pad on the strip employs a specific, chemically precise reaction: Leukocytes are detected through esterase hydrolysis, creating a purple dye. Nitrite reacts with reagents to form a pink azo dye. Glucose uses a glucose oxidase/peroxidase reaction for a color change. Blood detection relies on the pseudoperoxidase activity of hemoglobin. These proven chemical methods ensure reliable and accurate results for each parameter.
For accurate results: collect urine in a clean, dry container test within 2 hours. Dip the strip completely and briefly into the specimen, wipe off excess urine, and compare to the color chart at the specified times (60 seconds for most parameters, 120 seconds for leukocytes) under good lighting. Always follow the precise timing instructions to avoid false readings.
While used by healthcare professionals in clinics, these strips are also suitable for informed individuals managing chronic conditions like diabetes who require regular monitoring, athletes tracking hydration and pH levels, or anyone taking a proactive approach to their health with reliable, at-home screening tools.
